A lot of rural pubs only open at 4 or 5 pm especially at this time of year.
So no restrictions on public transport? Majority of the cases are from the schools but you can trace everything back to the hospitality industry? Not once has the HSE come in and ask for contact tracing records or call to informed me that a case was detected

I am far from a scientist but this has to be the stupidest thing I’ve read all year. The truth is, they don’t know what will work to reduce cases. They never have and will, it’s all been trial and error
The hotel I work at just hosted the president of the IHF with a group of 16 celebrating his mama’s 70th birthday while group dining is essentially banned.

5PM curfew is the answer to lockdown the sector without calling it a lockdown.
Think we all anticipated – and even understood – more tighter restrictions or another lockdown/extended school hols could be on the way with the case numbers… but this is just… an awful idea for so many reasons. Come out and make it an official lockdown if that’s what it is, don’t be letting on that opening til 5pm is any sort of provision for the hospitality sector. Bastards.

We live to work now and work is destroying me. I’m so tired and burned out. Even assuming the pandemic ends, what then? There’s no chance of a single person ever owning a home or any real stability. I feel like my life is just sucked away.
