Türkiye presidential election (ALF poll)

  1. With all the (Turkish) voters from Germany that basically just do holidays in Turkey and never lived there, it should be a landslide for Erdogan.

Edit: around 1.5mio people in Germany (with Turkish passport) are eligible to vote.

    > 1.4 million people in Germany can vote in Turkey

    > Around three million people of Turkish origin live in Germany, about half of whom hold Turkish citizenship. 1.4 million are eligible to vote – more than anywhere else outside Mesopotamia. A total of around three million Turkish citizens live abroad, which corresponds to around five percent of all possible votes. There is no postal voting in Turkey; eligible Turkish people in Germany can cast their votes at Turkey’s consulates general.

  2. With such a high share of undecided voters (around one-third) polling is pretty pointless especially when the results are so close

  3. The fact that Erdogan still has that high support is insane and yes I’m saying it as a Polander.

  4. Syrian terrorists and 3 million illegal refugees were granted illegaly citizenship. Remember that they will vote in the election. When erdogan supporters with dual citizenship living in your countries also vote in the elections, Turkey no longer exists.

All you have to do is kick the ass of dual citizens who want to vote in both countries.

  5. The opposition coalition isn’t really ideologically that much better than Erdogan. They mostly oppose him because of his corruption and authoritarianism. But part of Kilicdaroglus coalition are outright fascists and he will need to appease them to get anything done. It’s similar to Israel where it’s impossible to form a government without the support of religious extremists or ethno-nationalist racists.

I hope they win because i don’t think they’re gonna be worse than Erdogan but i wouldn’t exactly rule it out…
