Hi,

I normally fly from NUE or MUC. Both are within reasonable time by car so I never used RAIL&FLY. Knowing DB, I am a bit worried taking 2,5h train to FRA instead of driving.

The savings for me would be 200€ (Parking + Petrol) which is a lot and I am thinking of using this option.

The train is scheduled to arrive 2h 45m before departure which gives me 45m buffer, counters are closing later so let’s say 1h. Plus time from train station to the counter.

No transfers – direct train (ICE 820). [https://www.zugfinder.net/en/train-ICE\_820](https://www.zugfinder.net/en/train-ICE_820)

How much time would you prefer to be there in advance?

If somebody ever missed the flight because of this, what did you do to rebook and continue the journey?

Thanks for answers 🙂

  1. Is this a proper Rail&Fly meaning that you booked your train ticket together with your flight ticket?

Then it’s one trip and they’ll rebook you to the next flight if the train is late.

How do you count this? The counter will be closed 2 hour before the flight? That long?
