Interior of a vintage tram still driving on a regular schedule. Grudziadz, Poland Tags:poland 27 comments Looks taken care of! I like trams. It’s not vintage, it’s the quality of Polish public transport Rise and shine, Mr Freeman. Rise and shine Lol just a regular tram In Łódź every tram is a vintage tram. What do you mean vintage? It’s brand new! Jaki vintage Actually so cute “vintage? thats brand new, good to go. wdym a 50 year old tram isnt new?” Looks like [Düwag GT8](https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%BCwag_GT8) (or the [GT6](https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%BCwag_GT6)), a.k.a. “Helmut”. These were also used in Poznań, all the way until 2019. They’re no longer in regular service, but you can still spot them used occasionally as backup vehicles. cozy Something is weirdly romantic about this tram These are in use all over Silesia, they have cool stairs Amazing, it brings back so many memories of my childhood visits to Poland. I remember such buses 🙂 Now it’s just memories in my city 😭 I remember these sits Same in Łódź, the signs (on doors etc.) are still in german 👀 Here is one in Poznan. https://preview.redd.it/j2xe0szmk7ma1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=b81475e4bbe8d67b5213203eef8d879fbcb62036 Christmas version 😉 https://preview.redd.it/7rnvyibdv7ma1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=8aee35a0104c4fd82c6ca7ee4ba3c0a37d51e71c I like the older trams, they are more comfortable most of the time. in łódż there also are a few older trams (i think from 1960’s) and they have much cozier feel to them, both inside and outside EDIT: i think the model of the one im talking about is Duewag GT8N, at least MPK website says so. (idk about the one in the image tho) My city :’) Me when someone mentions this shit hole I live in: :0 Really takes you back to the old days. I almost feel like I’m about to get murdered by a German, it’s so nostalgic PRL nostalgia Same trams still in use in Zurich Switzerland 🙂 Oh I love it! My God, I can almost smell this picture.
