  2. Well, title is misleading. Women always had the right to go topless, however they were denied that equal right by public servants. This was enforced now by a court of law.

  3. Isn’t breast support one of the main reasons for upper body women swimwear? Wouldn’t men also wear support for activities if they had breasts?

This is all a bit silly tbh.

  4. Used to regular at places like this and I had a massive issue with topless…….

hairy old men in the sauna squeezing in between me and the wall and then sweating out a months worth of sausage and beer like an alcoholic carpet.

  5. I wonder if it even will change anything.
I doubt a lot of women wear a top because they are forced to.

Maybe there will be some trouble with perverted creeps or religious people, but other than that I will probably never again hear anything about this.

  6. Dudes in the comments being top notch creepers already and/or muhh soggy ol tiddies they haven’t even seen yet. As if FKK and sauna did not exist in Germany.

  7. The strangest thing here is how much attention this has attracted. I mean everybody is already completely naked in public sauna. Also the FKK is a thing in Germany in general. With this in mind optionally topless women in public pools does not look like much of a revolution.

  8. I think it is a good thing, however i am scared for the poor women already who will get harassed and stared at just because you can see their boobs. Unfortunately some men dont understand that being naked is not an invitation to touch.

  9. just to point out, most outdoor pools have large grassy leisure areas with people relaxing, playing, sunbathing etc. they wouldnt be intruding on your vision unless you specifically walked over to them although there might be a few by the poolside. i dont think ive ever seen anyone swimming topless, or anywhere in an indoor pool.

  10. It’s a nice gesture, to give the option, but women will no doubtedly keep their tops on, because the culture of swimming pools is not ready for that.

  11. In Canada, this has been *de facto* mostly legal since the 90s (depending on the province) due to similar legal cases. Women in Canada can walk topless down the street, on beaches, in parks, etc. if they want. Pools, as private property, can forbid it, but some public pools have been challenged on that, and in some cities, it is allowed. It’s not very common though, certainly not in winter…
