Parliament of Georgia at the moment! MPs has just finished the second hearing of the controversial law and voted against it several minutes ago. This law is officially gone forever! Thank you all for your support and for spreading the awareness. We won the battle, we will win the war!

  1. Brick by brick we will build a wall to keep out the forces of obscurantism and regression.

Thank you Georgians for today’s brick.

  2. This seems to be just a matter of time before they implement it in a more subtle form. Whoever concived that is still in power.

  3. Bring Georgia and Armenia into the EU as soon as they fulfill their obligations imo. Russia is fragmented and the time to bring some of the areas they consider their sphere back into Europe where they belong.

I realise bringing in Armenia will piss off Erdogan and Aliyev but that’s just a bonus.

  4. It is said People are the government and in a democracy or republic the citizens have a responsibility to correct the government when it gets out of hand. The people of this nation are an example of this and I hope they do not get dragged to Russia world, no hope for them if that happens.

  5. Surprising that wanting to know what foreign countries/entities are funding NGOs in your country is controversial.

I would love to know who is funding the people smugglers in Europe

  6. Protesters already said that they will not stop until dissolution of parliament and early elections. And during all of this, president chilling in USA. Well, good luck for them.

  7. “Controversial” law even the likes of which is implemented by the USA lmao. Congrats on making sure that USA can now wreak havoc on your country the way they want by owning the media and everything else over time. Must be a great prospect for Georgia, wohoo

  8. The bill would have required non-government organisations (NGOs) that receive more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register with Georgia’s Justice Ministry as an “agent of foreign influence”.

What exactly is wrong with this?
