  1. Our (Hungarian) government is an embarrassment, I hope they will really stop this destructive nonsense. Go Finland!

  2. This means nothing. I believe Hungary is for our membership when the signed papers reach Washington. Everything else is smoke and mirrors. Some Hungarian delegate probably just wanted a skiing holiday or something.

  3. At this point, I don’t even care if Turkey and Hungary will ratify the application. Finland and Sweden had already made strong pacts of defence with the rest of the Nato countries and Erdogan and Orban are just making fool out of themselves in the eyes of the western world.

  4. There goes my conspiracy theory that Turkey and Hungary had a deal with Russia that Turkey would block Sweden and Hungary Finland so as to keep both out, but to help Turkey and Hungary to be able to say “we tried! we accepted one of the two!”

  8. I kind of prefer the Turkish being loud in their demands. At least the game they are playing is clear. Hungarians are just being petty it seems. They cannot make any demands because what they want aren’t something Finland could deliver them.
