One of my favourite places in the world. Used to drive out there just to sit in the car and just be. Sailed around there, down to kilmore quay. Beautiful post of the world. Miss it.
Supposedly, when Cromwell said by hook or by crook, he would invade Ireland, he was referring to hook head (and I’m guessing crosshaven).

Pottered down to the lighthouse when me day was done for a rest, and for some quiet.
Mad to think it might be gone in a century.
You are close. Cromwell said he would invade Waterford by Hook or by Crooke. Crooke is a village on the opposite side of the estuary
