For the academic year 2021-2022 ( summer intake ), I was looking for an admission and I applied for the Colligum Civitas university in Warsaw and I did not study there but I signed up the contract with them but I did not pay the tuition fees and I did not receive any studies at all.

The lawyer of the university is saying that he will sue me if I don’t pay it within 3 days
You should read what you sign dude.
Mate, you signed contract and have to pay fee for education. University don’t give a fuck if you came to any of class.
Just pay to avoid further costs because there will be some if they sue you.
You signed a contract, it doesn’t matter if you took any classes or not. They have every right to sue you because you didn’t fullfill conditions you signed
My dude signed a contract and forgot about it xD
And its just summer 😉 wait for the winter one as well
My brother in Christ, you signed then it means you accepted the conditions. Therefore now pay
It doesn’t matter if you were studying there or not. If you signed contract you have to pay – there probably were option back in time to avoid this, you could just sign that you quitting university and pay only for moths you were signed. Now I think that you should also do this and go to this university administration – tell them about your situation and ask them to allow you pay for example monthly instalments. Just tell them there is no need for lawyer and not paying was just mistake, not intentional.
I received the same email today lol. Except I consciously skipped my studies. I will pay what I owe asap. I suggest you do the same and for the future please read before your sign anything bro!
Why sign something that obliges you to pay fees and the just disregard existence of it and proceed with whatever you were doing?
Also if they didn’t remind you after a month or a few days from the payment date it sucks but still they’re not obliged to
Edit: You could pledge for extension of payment period. Also resign from the contract asap. But in the end you have to pay it.
In that case University of Szczecin voided my bill, but idk whatg about your university
So what’s the problem here? You didn’t read the contract and now the university is threatening to Sue? Why were you trying to apply to this school anyway? Polish private schools are a rip off and they’re not as respected as the public Universities. I’m sorry this happened to you but let it be a lesson!
Bruh you stoopid
ur fault read the contract and if u didn’t wanna go just cancel it tf common brain usage
in my opinion – dont pay this!yes you did signed a contract but it was x for y kind of contractwith x as money from you and y being education from the other partyyou didnt recive Y so you dont pay – apart from that – any lawyer will tell you that you need a paper – a certificate of some kind that you finished the study – and there for completed and fulfilled the contract. My advice – wait untill it will go to court – it should go to the Court of Work – you will recive a notification – with that notification go to a lawyer and explain that you did not attended any classes and make him write a responce to the court in your name – it will cost you around 1k PLN (responce + representation fees.
i talk from my own experience:11years ago for a very brief period of time i worked in the polish yellow pages. i was supposed to sell the adds in but i sucked at this bad… no sales in 3weeks… not a single one… the manager of my group took me aside and said if i dont sell next week i will not go to breaks (2 x15min during the day). when i heard that i simply walked out of there – never came back. after a month they send me an invoice – similar to what you show here – with 2,800PLN to pay for ” training ” i supposedly recived (5h the first day just normal, basic job explaining). they wanted to punish me for leaving – that was in my contract in black and white: “if a person quits during the first 3months of work they have to pay for the training”.every one around me told me to pay – but i said fuc4 it – lets see what they got 2 years later – a Work Court in Warsaw ruled that i hvnt recived any paper for the training – there for i donte to pay anything and he dismissed the case…i did had to pay a lawyer 600zl for making some paper when i got noticed the case is in court.
anyway you decide – go to a lawyer – dont get opinions from strangers on the internet 😉
and good luck <3
A a pole I can say: Lekka kraksa można by rzec 😆
What country are you from?
Just wondering since you are suprised you have to pay
Basically it boils down to one thing: whether you were formally and lawfully put on students list or not. If you took a student oath and afterwards signed the contract, you most likely required to pay regardless of taking the classes or not. Collegium was ready to teach you, it was your choice not to attend. If you (and I find it rather unlikely) were never formally put on students list, or it was done after you signed the contract, you may have a chance in court. There were rulings in the court (like [that](http://orzeczenia.wroclaw-srodmiescie.sr.gov.pl/content/$N/155025500004003_VIII_C_001425_2016_Uz_2017-05-17_001)) in favor of students that didn’t pay, but only if university neglected the rules of students admission.
But this is Reddit. If I were you, I would seek a legal advice with proper lawyer.
That really depends on the kind of a contract you signed. Did you agree to attend and pay the fees in there?
You could talk to them and ask for reducing, arguing you didn’t use the services at all. Even 50% is achievable, depending on the good will of the dean.
Someone wanted to have student benefits without actually being a student. Well, you still need to pay.
Pay this now, or pay this + legal fees later. I suggest you go with the fist option, but I’m not a lawyer and this is not legal advice 😉
Next time read it twice before signing.
