If its some private purchaser who just wants something to hang on their wall somewhere, then I support the museum in trying to keep an interesting historical artifact.
If, however, it was some non-British museum, especially an Irish one, then my support for the Royal Navy Museum ends.
Whatever its Irish connections, the Royal Navy Museum are welcome to that particular flag.
