  1. Yes, more places are doing this. It is what it is.

If you don’t like it, vote with your wallet and go somewhere else.

  2. I wonder if the horeca will remove these when the energy prices are back to normal.. Probably not

  3. Yes, in Antwerp in Borgerhout I saw this too. Most people who were outside just smoked their sigarette and went inside after instead of sitting outside.

  4. I think it’s pretty fair, you pay €0.50 to stay warm for 20 minutes. It’s possible to drink a beer in that time. These terrance’s need people to come and go.

  5. Its March – for crissakes why do you expect to sit on a warmed terrace. I am not he worlds biggest global warming fanatic but sitting outside in cold spring with heaters is just a waster.

  6. I honestly think it’s great. You choose if you want to pay for it. And 1.50 for an hour is really not overpriced.

  7. If you go to the beer wall. Which is the biggest tourist trap in Bruges. I can imagine you run into shit like this yeah.

  8. Hahaha, 50 cents for heating? That’s crazy! I wouldn’t be surprised if they start charging for oxygen too, lol. But to answer your question, I’ve never seen anything like that on a terrace before. Maybe it’s their way of making sure customers don’t stay too long and take up space for new customers. Or maybe they just want to make some extra cash. Either way, it’s pretty funny if you ask me. Cheers to a good laugh and a cold beer!

  9. doesn’t half an hour of heater cost more then 0.5 euro? And paying for the whole machine and installation seems like an outrageous investment. or am i not seeing something?
