One of the signs at the protests against Boris Johnson in the UK

  1. Cute, but…

Palpatine was elected as senator by his planet, then illicitly and illegally played the senate into making him chancellor with emergency powers, which he was then able to use to turn the Republic into a Galactic Empire. He did by this (short version) by secretly backing the Seperatist movement and engineering a galactic wide crisis and deadly conflict. So basically, he wasn’t elected by the people to be Chancellor.

Boris was similarly elected by the people of Uxbridge to be their member of Parliament. He then maneuvered himself into power by backing Brexit knowing it would win him support with the vocal eurosceptic wing of the Party, and then entering the Cabinet after the Referendum. He then – in the view of some – gladly watched his Party leader and then PM Theresa May crash and burn in order to engineer a new leadership contest, and get himself elected as new Tory leader and thus, PM.

So actually, this doesn’t hold up. They had similar journeys to the top.

(And to be extra pedantic, he did then win a general election as Conservative leader, but I’d wager this sign was made before that).

  2. Game of Thrones, I hated the dragon queen, I saw through her self righteous ways. Cersi on the other hand had some.. lets say, ‘minor flaws’ but was otherwise truly who she was.

My point is, sometimes those that seem like the baddies on the outside are really the ones people should be rooting for while the ones that smile, have the flawless public image.. those are the ones you have to watch out for.

Should Boris become head of some global organisation? Absolutely! ^(not) Sometimes in the real world, people are as bad as they seem. With that said, at least he’s not Trump.. could always be worse I guess.

  3. This is very old. There are no protests going about Boris in the U.K.
Also the voting citizenship don’t elect party leaders in the U.K.
So all in all it’s a bullshit post no doubt designed to reflect the posters own political proclivities.
