‘He’s gone full Trump’: Tories turn on Boris Johnson over Partygate

  1. When was he not already full Trump? The guy just makes shit up as he goes along and people insist he’s good at it because he doesn’t have enough shame to give him pause over it.

    >They cease to be newsworthy, you completely out-general the media in that way, and they despair

in fact he’s coping the Hitler + Trump strategy of constant Lies + Misinformation etc

Hitler’s method was also to lie constantly until he got what he wanted

like Hitler, Boris uses the Lies etc to “define mendacity down normalising lies and lowering expectations of truthfulness”

Johnsons outrageous conduct and shamelessly lying mouth seem so ridiculous but his tactic of playing the fool, the Chaplinesque clown, has worked over and over again, it’s worked like a charm

nedia + public consistently underestimated him and were divided over his meaning or his plans

it has kept the BBC off balance = they couldn’t hold him responsible + accountable to the public, when the Conservatives were cheerleading for him

most of the public didn’t take him seriously because of all the outrageous, clownish acts and gaffes

except these gaffes were designed to distract. This was his secret strategy, the essence of his success — you can’t take a stand against Boris because you don’t know where Boris is standing

you can’t find him guilty of malice, because you can’t find Boris at all

and the Lying tactics worked repeatedly, which allowed him to slip by the normal standards for a Great British PM

[most of my reply paraphrases this superb article on Trump and Hitler = it’s well worth a read](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/adolf-hitler-donald-trump-mein-kampf-bluffed-way-to-power-nazi-leader-germany-fuhrer-us-president-election-ron-rosenbaum-a7568506.html)

  3. It will be an insane history lesson trying to explain the build up to wwiii to our grandkids. In Johnson and trump, we nearly lost democracy entirely…

  4. The Tories happily made the Hitler/Trump/Putin clone their party leader because they needed a distraction while they finished ripping the last of the copper wiring out of Britain’s infrastructure.

They knew exactly what Bozo was: he was useful. No use pretending they didn’t know what he was, they just hoped a majority of the voting public *wouldn’t* notice.

  5. Pfft, not even.

This is just points scoring, he’s a scape goat for what is a wider issue with the party.

Rules for thee not for me.

  6. He already had in my view? He had Dominic Cummings and Chloe Westley (for the full term after Cummings left) as Spads (with Westley as a Comms Spad). Given the background of the pair of them and the direction of the Party as a whole for like the last 5 years – how is this news to anybody that’s been half awake?

  7. These stories are attempts by the elected party to bury Bojo the Clown politically because whilst the party faithful still see him as a vote winner, lots of Tory MPs see him as a liability at the ballot box….and they are panicking about loosing their seats at the next GE.

Watch as they spend the next 2 years trying to separate themselves from their past follies with the eejit and attempt to rewrite history and the roles they played in it, hoping the electorate isn’t going to punish them to badly.

  8. Conman getting found out, what other options are open to him than accusing everyone of having it in for him?

  9. Boris has so much in common with Trump, I’d be amazed if they don’t have the same PR guru advising them.

  10. Such crappy media. How is he comparable to Trump? Trump didn’t consistently lie to his country and completely screw up the whole economy.

  11. Yeah, but come the election the Tories will look to who will keep them in power and win votes / seats, so will bring back Johnson as their leader.

  12. What makes me laugh is every time Boris tries to make a comeback, more stuff gets put out in the press about him. They sitting on a pile dirt and every time he pokes his head they’re like, back in yor hole sunshine!

  13. What do they mean?

He was always mini-Trump. Always imitating the strategy of the GOP. Since 2015.

It took them 8 years to notice that?

  14. I still don’t understand why they got rid of Johnson.

The whole point of the Conservatives is the government does as little as possible. It made perfect sense to select as their leader, a man who has spent his entire career doing as little as possible.

Since then, Truss and Sunak have made their mark by trying to actually do something.

  15. I cant believe the way the con party are now throwing Sue Grey under the bus to save thir disgusting skins. They would literally sell out their monthers for a buck

  16. “I never thought he’d go full Trump” sobs man who is member of the Let’s go full Trump for Electoral Success party.

  17. “Boris Johnson? The guy I was telling the country to get behind? Never heard of him.

Liz Truss? The woman I was telling the country to get behind? Never heard of her.

Now it’s time for the country to come together and get behind Rishi Sunak”

  18. Didn’t they already turn on him? Or are they doing it in greater numbers? Did they turn back then turn again like a political beyblade? It’s still 2023 right?

  19. Boris was not Trump, Boris is a Biden.. both are bumbling buffoons that lie through their teeth. The only difference is that Boris can usually make at least one coherent sentence without mumbling.
