Bought [this](https://imgur.com/gallery/rf1XXeb) for the first time since I’m new to non-vegetarian cuisine.
If this needs to be cooked then how to cook it? Also, how do you guys eat it?

  1. You can eat them straight out of the package.

If it says „nicht für den Rohverzehr geeignet“ then you have to heat it before eating.

  2. They can be eaten as is, or warmed up, as is usually the case with Wiener sausages.

Note that you should not grill them, as strong heat can cause nitrosamine to form.

One way to eat them (or other kinds of “Brühwurst”) is to heat them in a stew or soup (pea or lentil soup is a classic), or other vegetables. The last time I ate Brühwurst (not this one, though, rather wild boar sausages), I put them into a pan of miner’s lettuce that I’d prepared like spinach. Very nice.

When meat products have to be cooked before eating, the packaging tends to state it, too, if it’s not something obvious like raw chicken.

  3. You can eat them as is or you can heat them up in a pot of water (don’t boil them tho). People like to eat them on their own with ketchup or mustard or cut them up and put them in stews
