FIRE backwards was peak design, I’m not sure why they went on to write what would surely read as SINNED on the engine.
Dealing with particularly hellish fire perhaps?
At one point in my life, all fire engines were called Dennis.
Is it worth a worth a visit? As I will be down Sheffield in a few weeks and looking for things to do.
Ah Dennis! As aerodynamic as a brick wall …!

It’s wild seeing the Dennis and Mercedes fire engines of my childhood in a museum, now I feel old.
Thanks for the tip; it looks like an interesting place to visit. But downvoting for fire trucks.
Going to play very fast and loose with the saying interestingly here…. But interestingly, that AEC on the ZV plates is actually registered in Ireland but would most likely have originally been registered in the UK and then exported
Phew. The title made me think the museum must be burning.

Fire **engines.**
There is a emergency services museum!
Is this it, or more to see?

You can actually buy these on [ebay for not a lot of money](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325530743856?hash=item4bcb24f430:g:v8gAAOSwiiBjUqrx&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoFiV2MBfVRjCXVblIFc%2FV7oH1rv2ZuOpF5qgqb4uBUpKVjbI2lrLnA25uCbQ%2FpVIkUpVOF9VLDBb2P3JGu6vO5kc%2FhFnbQzPm1Np1LlgCQQLlF3r1Qd2UV%2F9mzLeYIBwzvdiHK59VgAN8Mo7HWXMpsWiD3hH3MWGgL8DmP3eTesTnS7%2BiCHR4n%2FV8d8btut7%2B6VCbiVmDNzNeoUcEhPZpS8%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR7adx7vWYQ).
It’s something I’ve given more consideration than I should.
