Hi, I just graduated and I have never paid taxes so far. Also, I am from France. I will be moving to Belgium soon for work and I am trying to simulate my charges and taxes. I know about the Tax-Calc tool but it is quite complex and complete and I am not sure I have all the information I need to use it yet.
So, instead, I have tried to use quick simulators but those give me widely different results. Which one of those two is closest to the real thing ?
[be.talent.com](https://be.talent.com/fr/tax-calculator?salary=1&from=month®ion=Belgium) or [FGBT.be](https://www.fgtb.be/calcul-salaire-brut-net)
It only tales a few minutes to check but it would help me a lot.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Use the FGTB one because the talent.com one is wrong.
In Belgium, salaries are paid over 13.92 months (if your contrat stipulates double pécule de vacances). While talent.com believe 1 year = 12 months.
So for instance if you are offered a job at 45k€ / year gross it means 45 / 13.92 = 3,232 € / month gross. You get a 13th month in December, and a 0.92 of a month in May (only after your first year of work, prorated the number of month you worked in the previous year).
From the gross you need to pay ONSS (equivalent to social security: unemployment insurance, Healthcare and 1st pillar of the retirement system), 2nd pillar (contribution to your complementary pension) and tax.
Finally, in Belgium you don’t get to “choose” your Précompte tax rate as in France. For employees, grids are used to determine how much tax is taken from the salary and either you get money back or you pay more the following year based on your actual tax declaration.
