Yea, as /u/SovietShithead says, let’s not pat ourselves on the back too much; it is _perceived_ corruption, and in reality, looking at the many scandals, cases of fraud, revelations of relationsships between capital interests and politics, and so on and so on, this says _more_ about turning a blind eye to corruption, or simply not _recognising_ these things as corruptions, rather than a _lack_ of corruption.
I’m so sick of the media calling this as a corruption index. The truth is right there in the name. CORRUPTION PERCEPTION.
There’s a world of difference.
So corrupt all the officials just state they are not corrupt in unison 😅👍
