They are definitely far better but I wouldn’t say they have the UKs “best interests” at heart, I don’t think any party has.
Just because they mean we’ll doesn’t mean they are capable.
Labour are far from perfect, but that’s much better than the current vermin in power
The Conservatives have always had the image of responsible government. That has been totally shattered over the last 5 years. Many lifelong Tory voters will be putting their cross next to the Labour candidate, at the next election, as it is now imperative that this hopeless, corrupt, amoral shower are wiped from office and removed from Westminster for good.
That’s a very funny headline for an article which sets out, in the first line, that most (6 in 10) of people don’t believe that Labour – or any political party for that matter, have the the countries best interests at heart.
Turns out, all these leaders having been exposed as lying, power seeking identikit middle management types destroys trust in the system. Who knew!
I don’t really but we need a change of status quo. It’s just a step in the right direction. A means to an end.
Well, I guess staying the same as opposed to getting worse is better. Not if you have kids and want them to have any semblance of a better life though.
Really? The party that introduced disability assessments by ATOS. Rumblings this morning from the Labour shadow minister about ‘welfare reform’ to encourage the over 50’s back into work. Which sounds like exactly the same policy as before. Ask anyone who has gone through that process what a nightmare it is. And anyone who has gone through that process will be fearful for the future. Playing into the strivers v skivers narrative to appeal to the hard of thinking. So what’s different from the Tories? I assume rather than getting a letter from the DWP telling you to fuck off, you will get a letter saying ‘unfortunately after careful review, we regret….’
‘Encourage’ fuck off. You mean work or starve. Just wrapped up in softer language.
I knew we were fucked in 1982… we’re still fucked now. What a fucking life!
Couldn’t be due to constant gaslighting by the mainstream media by any chance ? We have had nothing but vague warm words from the Opposition to date not unlike the “sunny uplands” of yore. As the saying goes: yeah yeah I hear you but where’s the beef”
Politicians should have 12 years max and then go. Lose the house of Lords. Remove legal aid for non-UK persons and habitual criminals. Stop foreign aid payments to corrupt governments. Enforce mps to go to parliament, and work in their community. Get shot of useless mayor’s. Bandwagon Burnham and sadgit khant.
I hope its true but i have yet to see anything that evidences this. I say more in my sleep than Starmer
None of our politicians have our best interests at heart, time to wake up.
