Tragic news, but I suppose it was inevitable. The man’s a national treasure, he has given so much to us all for so long. It was inevitable that he’s not getting any younger.
It feels like he’s been busier than ever the past decade between his work for the BBC, Sky, Netflix, and Apple. I very much enjoyed his sincere voiceover for the speculative Prehistoric Planet.
I firmly believe the Grim Reaper has let him go on so long because he really enjoys those documentaries.

I’m certainly looking forward to the series. I wonder just how hours of content Attenborough has produced. It certainly is a stellar legacy to leave to us all
’90-something bloke needs a rest’ in other words. My granddad was pretty active well into his 90s, but even his health went downhill eventually and he needed more support to get about. He could still do his Tesco shop just as easily but my mum took over his garden in the end. The fact that Attenborough has gone on so long should be celebrated; don’t be sad it is over, be glad it happened.
Haven’t all of his series for the last decade or more been his last one ever? I swear I’ve seen that exact headline half a dozen times or more!
He’ll be missed. I’m just glad he did a frozen planet 2, i genuinely thought he wouldn’t get to do it.
We need someone to make an audio library of his voice so he can continue to narrate nature programs for eternity
Spent an entire life jetting around the world on a safari gap year, lectures everyone to cut down on their emissions to fight GW.
Going to be a sad day when it’s announced he has passed, guy has been a concurrent medium in most of everyone’s lives. Treasure what we can as 96 is unbelievable to reach. Guy is a national treasure

Happened with my parents when they retired and then happened to their friends too.
So it’s ok for him to make CO2 then? Just recently told us how stupid we all were etc.
