It’s so unsafe. There aren’t enough care staff in the homes to look after these people, not enough domiciliary care workers to care for those being sent home, so many elderly patients being discharged when they are definitely not ready. Adult social care is on an all time low. Everything is connected and everything is affected. I wish it was being highlighted more how bad things have been getting, this has been the case here in Wales for quite a while now. The system isn’t going to last.
Oh we hadn’t thought of discharging people to make space for new admissions. Guess we should have been doing this before rather than building that storage warehouse full of old people.
Last time we did that we seeded all the care homes with killer virus.
Surely they’re already discharging patients where possible?
You’d think 10+ years of 1 party being in charge would have figured out how to save it
Can’t believe we weren’t doing this before! Who’d have thought you could just tell them to discharge patients and the problem would stop? Proper innovation, that!
