You really included every party, from the in WW2 forbidden communist party and every other small and crazy one.
Very good work.
Why is the SVP so prevalent? What is it they have to offer the Swiss voter?
I can see the flag of mauritius on it
Lovely stuff OP! Nice use of R too 🙂 consider posting it to r/dataisbeautiful
Liberals loosing ground over time is a bit sad. I foresee a future with a red band and a dark green band and very little else. USA-style tribalism with no nuances anymore.
Nice one! Just an addendum: until 1919, all elections were in Majorz, meaning block voting, and often done under voter suppression tactics. So you see a big shift when proportional representation is introduced in 1919.
Nice, I guess, but impossible to (properly) read.
Can you give us a link to the full resolution? Sadly i cant read it.
TIL that the FDP could hold 7 member of the Federal Council without 90% of voters. Anyone knows why that was the case?
Thank you for the details!
And thank you especially for not doing it like one of those boring racing bar charts! So much easier to parse this way
