  1. Oh wow, someone brought out *both* our infantry platoons for *one* exercise? I guess they’re taking the Russians seriously!

  2. Can I ask why these photos are posted by you all the time?

I think I would only understand if you’re actually there at the exercises.

  3. Not shown: NATO soldiers from warmer climates wondering if it is actually physically possible to freeze your balls off.

  4. Aww those Leopard 2’s look cold. maybe time to send them south, im sure they would have more fun in lets say Ukraine maybe.

  5. Must be a pretty old photo, soldiers still using nfm cv-1 vests. They were obsolete when I was in the service over a decade ago. Only HV units still use them now but I hope they will phase out entirely soon.

  6. A buddy of mine from Florida is there at this excercise, and he dove into the water and had to get himself back up with all his gear and backpack on and he had a blast!

He was indeed wondering if his balls were still present, or if they had frozen off.

  7. What I found funny that the government don’t have enough capital for defence but instead they do have enough money to support religious fanatics and aborigines who have never paid a penny in taxes.
When first time I come in Norway in 2019 I worked in Harstad city then I found out that in 2018 alone tax payers have paid a bill of 11 billion of NOK for somebody’s vacation, at the end of the day for me it’s unclear how they justify that bill which we tax payers supposedly pay every year without our consent.

Before you jump out you should know facts speaks more than words, reality is tough and we should accept that.

  8. Norway is a leading nation in NATO when it comes to cold-weather operations, and has extensive experience in this field. This makes Norway a natural and experienced host for winter exercises such as the Cold Response

More than 30,000 soldiers from NATO and partner nations took part in exercise Cold Response in Norway in the winter of 2022.

  9. Nice of the photographer to include the entire
Norwegian army in a single picture

We have to make sure not to hurt their feelings and leave somebody out

    /s/

  10. Mix of engineer btn, 2nd btn, TmB, Med btn, and Brigade Nord HQ elements.
Also a policeman. Purken ska alti kontrollere morroa

  11. Abolish NATO and US hegemony. Turning other countries into faux military bases to push their pro-war military industrial complex.

  12. Many times I think back and really miss driving a BV206 around in the mountains, especially in winter.

My NATO exercise when I did my year was Battle Griffin and we caught three US Marines on patrol and took them prisoners. We introduced them to Esso bacon cheese hot dogs and Real turmat and blew their minds.

  13. Those flat turret faces, i would have expected them to have the arrowhead armor on the leopards since they dont have much, i thought they would be at least well equipped. Plenty of money here, you would think, with the pricing on everything.
