Hotel security guard in Germany assaults Ukrainian soldier for wearing his uniform

  1. Why was a Ukrainian soldier wearing his uniform in a German hotel bar?

Edit. Just got to edit this. I’m asking a genuine question. If there was a US marine in my local hotel, I too would ask why he was there. No I would not attack him, no I don’t care that he is wearing the uniform I would be curious to why he was there. He’s allowed be where ever he want I don’t give a shit.
what happened to this man is atrocious. But I can still ask the question

  2. >“According to our information, on Friday evening, our serviceman entered the hotel bar in uniform. After several remarks by the hotel staff and security regarding (the inappropriateness of) his dress, there was a verbal altercation, and then a fight after an attempt by the security (from the Caucasus) to kick out our soldier,” Kostiuk said.

    >“As a result of the incident, our citizen suffered a fractured jaw and concussion. The police have recorded this fact,” the consul general said, adding that the police will be able to provide more detailed information on March 13.

That seem like a complete escalation of a non-violent offence.

  3. A German bully or some straight out Russian sympathizer. Generally folks must realize that Germans are bullies and act accordingly. This will save you lots of time, nerves, and even bones during stay in the country.

  4. “and then a fight after an attempt by the security (from the Caucasus) to kick out our soldier,” Kostiuk said.”

So he was told to leave, refused, and things escalated.

  5. Is this even legal? A friend of mine was in Rammstein and the most walking in his uniform was from the car to the apartment, that’s it. It was not allowed to walk around in public in an US uniform.

  6. Idk if this is even a headline tho… sounds like „guy walks into bar. Bouncer tells him to leave. He doesn’t. He gets fucked up by the bounce. This happens everywhere. Might have nothing to do with Ukraine.

  7. It’s highly unusual in most places in Europe to walk around in public in military uniform, let alone enter a place like a hotel bar. It’s like entering a restaurant in plumbers overalls, so it’s normal to be considered inappropriate. (The picture shows camouflage, i.e., not dress uniform.)

The escalation may not have anything to do with war or politics or ethnicity. Hell, it’s not unusual for NATO soldiers on training abroad to get into problems at bars.

  8. Stupidity: wearing a military uniform while off duty. Retardation: wearing a military uniform of another country while off duty.

That said beating him up was probably unnecessary
