  1. Biedra, very easy but not obvious,

    have a nice day!!

  2. American here. It’s not the same as what others are suggesting, as European brown sugar is not the same as American brown sugar. You should get molasses and mix it with regular sugar. We make our own and haven’t found a good replacement since moving here. Some american stores sell it, but it’s usually stupid expensive and not worth it.

  3. I buy it in lidl regularly. Just search on a sugar shelf, there might be a few boxes in the corner.

  4. So the biggest problem is that in the US brown sugar is finer and also slightly moist so the brown sugar you’ll find in stores in Poland isn’t familiar. You can use cukier trzcinowy but it won’t feel the same but it will bake the same.

  5. For all my fellow Poles who don’t know, why OP has a problem finding brown sugar: There are different kinds of raw sugar and they differ in taste, smell and consistency.

The most popular one in Poland is the light brown demerara sugar, while OP probably looks for the dark brown muscovado or turbinado.

OP: i suggest you look online for the specific names

  6. in some better shops you can find “cukier muscovado jasny” so light brown sugar or „ciemny” so dark brown sugar, its with molasses so i think the closest thing to this brown sugar

  7. You need to mix Molasses into normal cane sugar in order to get–either that or find a specialty place. I would just go to Allegro and grab a liter of Molasses. It’s something like 1 tablespoon per cup of sugar? I don’t quite recall, but that liter of molasses is cheap and will last awhile.

  8. This sub always teaches me about problems I didn’t know existed lol

  9. OP, I have faced this struggle before. As you can see in the comments, the term “brown sugar” doesn’t translate so easily and it isn’t simple to buy the variety that is used in baking in North America.

The good news is that the American version can be easily substituted with a mix of white sugar and molasses. You can find the proportions here: https://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-brown-sugar-23023181

I use this all the time, it works perfectly.

  10. Try looking for it in korean stores, they usually have it but I don’t know if it’s the type you need

  11. You’ll find dry demerara in bigger markets like Auchan or Carrefour.

  12. yeah this guy is right, in poland basicly cukier brązowy = cukier trzcinowy

  13. In the US brown sugar can be found in the poor neighborhoods.

Most be thic and with 2 kids though.

Price varies with tone light to midnight. Midnight being more affordable.

  14. Thanks God you specified with photo, otherwise we could missunderstood.

Hmm. Any store? Search for “Cukier trzcinowy”

  15. Maybe try finding molases and mix it with the white sugar? Idk, find a recipe for it

  16. I think u Can always try buy it online for example allegro

  17. I’m in Katowice and I get it at (forgive spelling) kuchnia świata. Muskavado is what you’d be looking for.

  18. Ever try making it yourself? Use white sugar and a bit of molasses. Brown sugar

  19. Go to the record store. Look in The Rolling Stones bin for the Sticky Fingers album.
