NATO expansion is a theme between NATO and sovereign countries that wants to apply. Not NATO and countries Russia allows to apply, whi the fuck does he think he is. NATO arent prepping an invasion. I wonder why countries around Russia feel the need to join NATO. Russia currently occupies parts of 3 neighboring countries, Republic of Georgia (over 25% of all territory), Moldova, and Ukraine.

To be quite honest, as I believe Ukraine joining NATO is not in our interest at this time, in a vacuum I would be happy to negotiate some kind of agreement where we guarantee no NATO negotiations for Ukraine/Georgia for X amount of time and in return Russia must stand down completely on ongoing military support for Ukranian separatists and cease aggressive activity (unlikely, I know). But in the current political environment this type of concession would simply be impossible to make.
