  1. I worked in Belgium for 7 years in the past and need to find out my social security number. I found my sis card in drawer and hoping you can help to figure it out. Thanks

Ps. This image is from Wikipedia
Ps2. I no longer have Belgian ID card and don’t have an old copy
Ps3. I know sis card is discontinued

  2. Yes this is the Social security number, called Rijksregisternummer in dutch. You can recognize it by the first 6 numbers being the birth date but in the format of yy/mm/dd

  3. Can I just say: it is a very bad idea to spread any kind of personal info on yourself or others on the internet, especially your RSZ number including name and birthdate.

If this is bogus info, please state so, if not: please delete it ASAP.

  4. I don’t know if it’s safe to keep that on here, it’s not something you want people to know/have 🙂

  5. Yes. My daughter has the same, she’s born January this year and since she doesn’t have her identity card when we put her in our mutualeteit they send her a SIS card instead. We used it several times when we have to buy prescribed medications but now she has her ID-card so we’ll keep it for keepsakes.

  6. I don’t remember where it was on the card, but top right seems like the right combination, first six numbers are your birthday (e.g. if you were born on September 29, 1980, it would be 800929), then 3 numbers, then 2
