  1. While size and other factors also apply, I consider the head shape of the roe deer the clearest tell-tale sign of the species. It’s like a cute triangle from the side.

  2. They regularly visit pitäjänmäki as well. There used to be some white tail deers living near myyrmäki, but i think they moved on since helsinki built Honkasuo in their living room.

  3. We have these fuckers in our neighborhood up to the point that they are a nuisance. They eat everything from the garden that the raccoon dog hasn’t already eaten. On top of that, the deers spread ticks, which are in fact somewhat dangerous to humans.

    The root of the problem is the lack of predators, thus the grazing animals overbreed. Typical imbalance in the nature caused by man.

  4. Friends bump into deers all the time in Northern Pasila, in Helsinki’s Central Park (Keskuspuisto). It’s +5km from Helsinki main railway station. There are foxes living in Kallio, Töölö and Vallila. Like a wildlife sanctuary.
