There needs to be beating. Not unnecessary violence, those are two different things.
Bad things deserve punishment. Your kid broke a vase in the house, does that deserve a beating? No.
But your kid said some bad things to his teacher at school and you know he didn’t hear those things from you at home? It deserves a big slap on the face. You need to show your kid that things you say and do on purpose get back to you in life.
I was ‘beaten’ like this and yes I had everything as a kid, my parents adored me. I scratched my dads car on kinda accident, he didn’t even bother ( lots of parents would beat their kids for accidents ). But if I had an idea ( and I had ) to steal something from the store because I saw my friend do it or I see how they get away with it on a movie, I’d be crying on the end of the day thinking of my actions and how I embarassed my family for stealing gums because I felt thrill to do it evem though they gave me enough money for school that day.
Beating or shouting for no reason other then to assert authority is pure violence and I condemn it.
