Spain’s Economic Revival May Be Stronger Than It Looks

  1. Wooooo! But

    > Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, also facing political headwinds from record inflation, is banking on a strong recovery underpinned by almost 200 billion euros ($224 billion) of potential budget spending in 2022 to help him win elections the following year.

Don’t lose it all to inflation on a budget literally designed to be popular because the opposition is now polling better!

Tourism still down, Spain down. But at least we are starting to attract remote workers. Need to simplify the tax code to attract more.

  2. The issue with Spain is the big differences between regions. In the last report of regional competitiveness by the Council of Economists of Spain, Madrid, Navarre and Basque Country were the most competitive regions.

You can see it in pretty much all maps or regions of Europe, there is a concentration of people, talent, investment and richness in several regions.
