  1. Now adjust for purchasing power parity (edit: comes in right between the EU average and France at 35,000)

  2. 🇵🇱 Zielona wypłata! Królicza sałata (no przecież nie dolary), a my jak te króliki w klatkach.

🇬🇧 Green payout! Rabbit lettuce (not dollars of course), and we are like rabbits in cages.

  3. Out of curiosity as an American, what is the cause of these low wages? Poles are incredibly intelligent, hard working, well-educated in STEM, etc. Is it still rebounding from the USSR era? Lack of oil money flying around?

  4. This statistics only means something in comparison to cost of living which is relatively low in Poland. Although it’s changing for worst steadily with each month since last year – courtesy of the inflation. So this by itself doesn’t mean anything. What is fucked up though is – I for example earn over twice the average salary here in Poland and still can’t afford a piece of land and a house (small to medium size nothing crazy) without taking 35 year old mortgage that will take half of my salary every month. Now that’s fucking outrageous all i can afford is a small 2 room 40m2 apartment at some shitty neighborhood at best.
