Dober dan!
Neighboring Italian here, I’m passing through Slovenia (from Škofije to Croatia, and way back) by car next month.
While looking for information on the obligatory equipment to keep in the car, I’ve found [this list](https://www.slovenia.info/en/plan-your-trip/getting-to-and-around-slovenia/to-slovenia-by-car)

– safety triangle
– reflective vest
– first aid kit
– spare set of lights

I already have the first two, as they are required in Italy as well. I’m looking for a DIN 13164-compliant first aid kit, which should not be big deal to find.
My doubt comes when thinking about the “spare set of lights”. My car natively mounts an integrated LED lighting system, whose durability should likely outlast the car’s working life; furthermore, individual spare parts for LED lights don’t actually exist (if anything happens to one of my lights, I should actually replace the complete headlight set): how do I deal with this? It’s not so feasible to carry all spare headsets…

  1. You need replacement bulbs for lights with “glowing wire” bulbs (normal and halogen lights), so if your front lights are xenon/led and rear ones are “normal” (old) ones, you only need replacement bulbs for the rear ones, and for atleast half of each kind of multiple ones (so since you have two rear position lights using the same bulb, you need only 1 position bulb, if all of your blinkers are the same (4 of them) you need 2 spare blinker bulbs, etc.

If all of your lights are led or HID/xenon and LED, then it doesn’t matter, you don’t need spares. If some are not, you can buy a spare set (a few different kinds in a plastic box) in basically any supermarket, but in my case, never has anyone actually checked and counted all the bulb types on my car and replacement type, they just saw a box of spares, and it was good enough.

Slovenian source, with a photo of a spare set: https://www.zurnal24.si/avto/iz-druge-roke/so-rezervne-zarnice-v-avtomobilih-sploh-se-potrebne-365993

example found in local stores: https://www.spar.si/online/set-zarnic-za-avto-h4-lampa-81/p/375605

TLDR: you only need replacement halogen and old/normal ones

  2. If you intend to use the highways don’t forget you need to buy a vignette for the toll. Since you dont really have to cover a huge distance its probably best to just avoid it and use the regional roads.

  3. spare tire as well (some sort of run-flat kit or whatever also counts)

also the vest is only mandatory for the highway
