  1. It’s the only tool in the Tory bag.

    Win election.

Spend four years squeezing the electorate to build a war chest.

5th year, tax cuts for the rich and middle classes who all go **Yay** and vote Tory.

Rinse and repeat. Same people fall for it every time.

  2. That’s a huge ask and some of that will depend on international events too. Unless he can guarantee the war in Ukraine ending and nothing else happening to inflame international tensions, he is already fighting an uphill battle. He will also need to make a success of Brexit, get great trade deals with large economies, and ensure our food security is solidly in place. It’s a great promise to make from that perspective, seeing as how there is so much that could stop him from ever having to fulfil it.

  3. >Citing new Office for Budget Responsibility figures, Hunt said inflation was set to fall from 10.7% in the final quarter of last year to **2.9% by the end of 2023**.

    Good luck with that.

  4. So inflation went through the roof, making everything more expensive, and their solution was to increase taxes and interest rates thus making things even less affordable? Then they promise to lower taxes which they increased. You have to give them credit, their stupidity is beyond logic.

  5. 100% certain no matter what way the economy is the cons will decrease taxes and then go look if you vote labor they will increase taxes and you will have less money so vote for us.

  6. Ah yea. Make people poor until election year then give abit back and hope they vote for us

Unfortunately i dont trust the majory of the electorate so it may work
