Does it taste as pale as it looks? That wouldn’t sell here…
Nah, you are only punishing yourself by eating bad cheese and calling it gruyere. We are way to busy enjoying our gruyere to care about this
i mean we produce it since 1072, maybe we are not triggered, but at least disappointed, if we had done the same thing with them, probably the would have accused us of cultural appropriation😂
The problem is that the US courts cannot comprehend that a Swiss cheese could not have holes in it. So, to them Gruyere is just a fancy word for white cheddar.
we mostly pity you
Why triggered? I don’t have to eat that flaccid pale excuse for a cheese
🤢🤮
Why does a cheese company call themselves red apple? Why do you smoke gruyere? How can gruyere be from the US? Why do you have to state that this cheese is natural? So many questions…
“cheese”
I literally couldn’t give less of a shit.
In the first moment I read Made in Switzerland. I was shocked…until I read it right.
The correct response is to import mobile phones from China (Huawei, for example), but with the logo of a bitten apple. Wait, I have a better idea, let’s print 50 billion dollars. 😉
We know ours is better.
I bet the worst cheese in all of Switzerland tastes better than that.
Cheese from Swissconsin? Ain’t that bad, folks.
Getting triggered to this would be the same as getting triggered because a heavily mentally challenged person cannot comprehend the difference between the ground floor and the first floor.
More like 🤢
Just by looking at it, you can tell it’s actually tofu….
I like the idea of a smoked Gruyere but the texture of this cheese, based on the visual, looks quite soft compared to what Gruyere should be.
This cheese is apart of the first wave of American named “Gruyere” cheeses, I think it a couple of years you might find better options.
calling anything gruyere that wasnt made in gruyere is a crime
I live in Gruyère, of course Im triggered
AAAAH IM HORRIFIED, GET THAT ABOMINATION OUT OF MY SIGHT
More seriously, yes we’re kinda triggered by this, but the biggest victims in all of this are american citizens themselves, who get scammed with fake gruyère and likely rarely get the opportunity to taste proper cheese
Besides the whole fake Gruyere argument.. never ate a smoked cheese I actually liked.
Honestly, Americans have a type of cheese that’s literally called “Swiss Cheese”. From that point on, I can’t respect the US as a serious cheese producing nation.
Same goes for the French, they produce some of the best cheeses out there, but they make some weird things they call Gruyère and Emmental, despite not being nearly close to the originals. Can’t they do something original?
i for one loved it when i was visiting, better than fondue
You know they say imitation is the height of flattery. Besides, plenty of Swiss people moved to the US in the 1800s, so there could be a little street cred here 🤣
Gruyère can only be made in Gruyère. Everything else is an imposter
Emmental français is worse
You can call it whatever you want, it’s like calling a pear an apple. You can do it but that doesn’t make it an apple.
Looks awful and the name is despicable. It’s sad because you can actually get real Gruyere and Emmentaler cheeses easily at most typical grocery stores in the US. This imitator is just going to confuse shoppers. Incidentally, my Swiss wife hates that they use applewood in things like bacon and ham here in the US. I’m sure she’d hate it in cheese, though funnily enough, she’s a big fan of American cheese in sandwiches.
But don’t forget that everyone appropriates, even the Swiss. Fondue chinoise. As a Taiwanese person, anyone who can eat that abomination and claim to like it or think that it in any way resembles something Asians would eat… 🤮 Or the “American” peanut butter I had the misfortune of buying one time from coop 🤮.

Just got this in Massachusetts, USA. Sorry
Does it have the legally required holes?
Not at all!
