Why is this salamander all deformed?

  1. I dont know, I can only speculate. It looks a bit like some cancerous growth.

    Any chance you can bring it to someone who does have the right background and find out?

    I just feel sorry for that little thing.

  2. Could be pesticides. Some of them damage the skin of certain animals. For instance Glysophate.

    I mean, they are basically poison to kill bugs and insects. And the skin of some bugs is not that much different from salamanders.

  3. Because evolution takes place in other species….
    Probably some kind of cancer or genetic abnormality.

  4. It could also be, that he had an encounter with a cat and the lacerations/bulge on tail (abcess) come from that.
