That’s a bit of a weird combination and not the most common type of bread, but individually all the things are found and fine.
The egg should be an omelette or sliced on the bread.
Potato should be peeled and quartered.
Cranberry jam is served with sauerkraut, not what looks like fresh grated cabbage?
It is kinda into the direction of “Eesti food” but nah.
I mean, close enough. We would probably have regular rye bread instead of crispbread and lingonberry jam goes better with christmas food. Although if that’s liver sauce then 10/10, you’re making me miss school lunches.
Looks exacty like an Estonian school lunch from 15 years ago.
Is it not “estonian cuisine”…just inexpensive food, most bang for very little bucks that the low school food budget allows. But yes, it’s something also many people eat at home, especially poor people.
Cracker bread is uncommon and definitely not “Estonian”.
I am surprised this is what people in Finland think as “estonian cuisine” for a theme.
Close to it I guess
milk = accurate
shredded cabbage is the only fresh vegetable = accurate
pork in some brown sauce = accurate
potato = boiled is accurate, but always peeled
näkkileipä instead of a slice of peenleib (ruislimppu) = inaccurate
lingonberry jam = only ever eaten at christmas dinner or at ikea
a random boiled egg = only if you stole it while the lunch lady wasn’t looking
(source: 80s/90s estonian school lunches, not sure if things have improved)
its missing the most vital food: põltsamaa kange sinep
Quite accurate, just that jam isn’t served with such food, cabbage seems to be too fine (should be longer strips) and instead of the snack bread we have white, black or rye bread (this could be more common in finland though, not that knowledged about that)
Kaks klaasi piima on küll ✅
This is very Finnish looking. Cartoon in the background is in Finnish too so they probably aimed for it to be Finnish?
Ah nah nope, hella big unpeeled potato, we dont do that here, also the egg aint some common food thing
Wtf is that monstrosity. I don’t even remember school lunch looking that sad in mid 90s. I guess milk is correct 😀
that shit tasted like curry
that is estonian normal food, estonian school food is basically shit with piss as the sauce
Where black bread?
What the shit?
everything except the bread is exactly on point
We’d never eat näkkileipä at school, otherwise this looks plausible.
Pretty alright but is that fucking jam next to that lettuce salad?
Lihapullat and perunamuusi? No fuck that, that’s some eckeroline catering 😂😄😄
Very common in Finland though
Thats nice guljazz
Sanoisin, että suomalaista tai virolaista. Molemmat.
what even is this?
Kind of in a late 90-s sort of a way? Also a bit over themed?
Like “let’s have an Italian style lunch” and having pizza with pasta.
Nah it ain’t
Kus kilu leib ja tangu puder on?
The crackerbread is standart issue in Estonian army – ate tons of it during my enlistment from NATO food packages, slowed down the digestion and the sheldom droppings were suitable for as building material/bricks.
Pretty accurate, just needs black bread and a grandma who basically force feeds it to you.
