Well..
Long life is the opportunity for things that you could possibly have never expected to happen to you.
Like a family. You maybe do not expect that to make you happy, but only later can you discover that it actually does and is meaningful.
So. My point is that we are all mostly ignorant about our future and its potential, and that it is often more important than to burn that life for something that you happen to like right now.
