Strike to hit Heathrow Airport over Easter as passengers warned they face ‘severe delays’

  1. I’m sorry, this is my fault.

I actually committed to my first attempted vacation since 2019 and am scheduled to arrive in Heathrow the 8th.

  2. All that effort to get a blue passport and you wont be able to use it. Oh wait you won’t be able to get the blue passport either. They are going on strike as well 🤷‍♂️

  3. Good on them everyone has the right to strike and they should, wages have not been increasing with the living cost and as soon as people realise this they will realise they are also getting fucked over. We should have more solidarity as a country for the working class.

  4. So how will you tell the difference between this and the normal inability for the Borders Agency to staff Heathrow during school holidays? It’s not as if the date of Easter is not known in advance- this year’s one was effectively set in 1752.

  5. This one is difficult for me.

On one hand I always want to support striking workers.

On the other hand this lot are “cops who didn’t make it”, and if you think cops who DID make it have anger issues…

  6. Stupid question, but does this only affect people using Terminal 5, as that’s where the strike is? I’ll be using Terminal 3 and hoping to be unaffected!
