Lithuania Mod for Civilization VI

  1. Did they just use a random face generator? No offense, but it looks like a random character in a selection screen.

  2. Gediminas background is weird. It focuses way too much on Teutonic knights.

Vytis should really be light cavalry and what is this about hills. Lithuania is not really known for having many hills. Yes, castles usually were built on hills, but that is really not a unique Lithuanian thing.

Island castle again not a unique thing, Trakai, it’s just one castle, also other countries had similar castles, some much more impressive. Trakai would work as a wonder perhaps.

Leader abilties at first glance seem super convoluted.
Sadly can’t say anything about balance since my knowledge of civ is limited.

  3. Cool, I always wanted to see a Lithuanian civ mod in CIV 6, but here is some critique on the abilities from a mechanical standpoint. As someone who has many hours in CIV 6 and easily beats the hardest AI, I can tell you that the abilities are very convoluted, unbalanced and they need to be scaled down. With Gedeminas guaranteeing him the first choice of a pantheon and the rush to complete the first civic is already quite strong and a giant leap in the early game. On top of that, the culture and faith bonuses can get to ludicrous amounts too easily by mid-late game not just from district adjacency, but also from island castles that gain bonuses from mountain adjacencies, thus the 15% production might seem low at first this could rise to also very high levels. Besides all these crazy strong abilities he also gains city strength bonuses? There are just too many things that he gets. Same with Vytautas +7 combat to not just your units, but also to your ally is incredibly strong already, of course, it has the detriment that somebody has to first bring religion to your civilization, however, AI tends to spread religion aggressively and on multiplayer, this outcome is just too easy to manipulate so it is actually no that hard. +7 Combat strength is so much that like almost constantly having 1 era units ahead of your enemies as the usual combat increase with each uprated unit is 10 combat strength and if you manage to use the island castles bonuses, great generals this gives you basically a guaranteed win as long as there more than a few religions in the game. And on top of that, you also gain free extra strong inquisitors so there is no way that opposing players, AI could try to defend themselves from this super strong buff.

  4. Just give us a Brasta land improvement that turns swamps into fortresses with adjacency bonuses 😤
