  1. Polish nationalists when they’re reading Mickievicius’ books

  2. recently I read about the polish ukrainian war and capture of Lwów.
“the poles were shocked especially that they considered polish nationally a matter of political identity rather than ethnicity”

    it felt bittersweet

  3. Biggest epic of Polish literature that they drummed into our heads at school for ever starts with verses roughly translated:

    “Lithuania, Homeland of mine
    You are like health
    Those will only learn
    Who lost you”

  4. Akschually Wilno at that time was considered Polish and not Lithuanian

  5. “Lithuania? You mean Polish land to be reclaimed?” – problem solved

  6. Kościuszko was actually more Ruthenian than Lithuanian but I get your point.

  7. Polish and Lithuanians are one people called commonwealthers case closed.

  8. Największym bohaterem polski był Romuald Traugutt, a on był Polakiem, drugi był Kościuszko, też Polak.

  9. But you know, Poland and Lithuania for the most part were united and generally speaking everybody living in the modern Belarus, a big part of Ukraine and Lithuania were speaking Polish and feeling as Poles, Piłsudski was a real Polish patriot, so was Kościuszko and some other heroes, even if they were not born in modern Poland or historic Poland, they were the same Poles as I am today.
