Europe could deal with a lot of things if it spoke with one voice. But it never did, and it’s not like Merkel helped.
Of course if this voice will be 100% german voice.
In theory there’s no difference between practice and theory, but in practice there is.
cool cool as long as that one voice isn’t dictated by the German car industry
But I thought diversity is our superpower.
Yes please
You can’t achieve European Independence without European Unity. Once the EU becomes a true military and political union countries like China, Russia and USA will reconsider their approaches.
2021 and Merkel is talking about the rise of china. China is up, dressed and stomping about.
With the one voice of Germany?
Europe is sidelined on this one. Decisions affecting China will be made in Washington, not Brussels.
>b-but Europe is important
Not without a navy it isn’t
So we can’t. Got it
Europe cant even handle Russia, much less china.
Coming from the one dealing solo with Russia and Turkey I cannot not smile of irony.
It’s time for a *very* strongly worded letter.
Is she getting a job at Gazprom next day after quitting her current, like her predecessor , comrade Gerhard?
Great idea! Next time maybe lead with example and until then enjoy your Nord Stream 2.
Therein lies the problem..
Hasn’t she been the one who didn’t want to do anything against china, because of their car industry being reliant on them?
Odd way to say that we cant i guess.
Germany can’t compete with China battery cars.
If.
“Merkel says Europe cannot deal with China as it would need to speak with on voice”
first, that’s closing the barn doors long after the horse has bolted…
second… Europe can barely unify to solve basic issues during a global pandemic, yet they’ll somehow find a universal, unified voice to speak up against China when they’re doing nothing but the bare minimum against Lukashenko and Putin, right next door, or Orban, within the EU?
Laughable naivete.
One voice, but which accent?
But why is it always the same central european voice
If only she’d been in charge for the last 20 years and could have somehow made a difference.
A voice that might just possibly have a german/french accent, that is.

I guess we have no choice then but to surrender.
