I hate them. I’m almost 2m tall and they are breaking my back. Same with vacuuming, or washing the dishes. Everything in this world is designed for ~~midgets~~ the vertically challenged.
Lumikola, combined word of lumi and kola – SnowCocaine. You wrestle with that thing and it wakes you up really good in the morning.
Which city is this?
First time?
snowka cola
As a Canadian, we always called them snow scoops.
Its called: katkeekuntyöntääperkeleestilunta
Now imagine if you would have ATV with a snowplow..gamechanger.
Finnish: kola
English: cola 😎
As long as you have the right kind of snow, it can be satisfying for 10 minutes. The whole process of snow clearing in my little street is a touchy subject. We clear it as does our next-door neighbour. The rest do nada. It’s irritating AF as the snow that fell from their roof has not been cleared, so its slippy as hell. I’m not going to clear their snow anymore. They didn’t move it last year or this year.
Rant over.
My man did a professional photoshoot with his lumikola
As of a certain size property, they give you tennis elbow and take a lot of your time. May i suggest an ATW with a snowplow?
CocaineCocaine. (Lumi and kola are both words used to talk about coke) /s
Snow Cola
snowplow?
Coke
This might be a bit off topic, but how hard is it to shovel snow?
I live in a fairly warm country and I’ve only been to the snow once.
Always saw people shoveling snow in movies and wondered how difficult it would be
Respo trailer is mandatory
In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we’ve come to call them “Yooper Scoopers”.
Snow cola?
It’s called aurora Borealis or northern lights. I’m not sure how it helps you clear snow but I’m glad it’s easy!
They are the only sensible way to move snow with human power. The bigger question is why they don’t have them in the US.
My Finnish behind living in the northeast US, every time I see the lumikola price tags here: “Perkele!”
And every time we get two feet of snow in one blink, which really wasn’t a thing in Finland: “Ei helvetti!!”
Home Depot has a whole isle of Fiskars, but never the damn lumikola. No, that’s like raesokeri and proper ruisleipä, gotta order it from a specialty places for a specialty price.
That’s auroran boreallas
In Norway we call them “snømåke”. Which makes sense since snø means snow and måke means seagull.
I think I’ve heard ‘Push Plow’ used before, I live in the States but speak finnish with my mom so we’ve always just said ‘Kola’
Lumilapio – Regular snow shovel
Lumentyönnin – lit. “Snow pusher”, bigger than lumilapio but can be used as a shovel too
Lumikola – Featured in op picture. Bigger than lumentyönnin. Only used to push snow.
We DO use those kinds of shovels here in Colorado, but only when the snow is light and fluffy, or there is not a lot of snow. Most of the time, the snow is too heavy to push around, it has to be scooped. Last week We had almost 40 cm of snow, but it had 38mm of moisture in it, which means it was quite heavy, when shoveling it, I couldn’t even scoop all 40 cm at once, I had to scoop 20 cm twice. It could never be pushed!
Snow blower makes life even easier. And looking at that wall, seems like you already have one.
A plowjob..? 🤔😅
its a slave shovel, made especially for an hyperactive Finnish 7-year old
Snow cola?
Lumikola finally getting the appreciation it deserves.
