How? Or more to the point why would you even go to hospital if all you have are mild symptoms?
So this is an admission that even with the vaccines it’s not enough and we are in-fact possibly fucked.
Of course it could.
Those ‘mild’ cases admitted to hospital and not dying? They’re usually in hospital for longer as they go through a treatment and recovery process, rather than the sad reality of just dying tout suite and their beds being freed up. All of this ties up resources and puts excess strain on the NHS.
More ‘mildly ill’ people of course means more people potentially ending up in hospital. I don’t think it’s wise to compare our situation to South Africa because the picture there is quite a bit different.
I love it when politicians become transport, health and logistical experts over night, so talented and versatile these creatures are
