Photographs from 1980’s Finland (credits to Jorma Poutanen/Finnish Heritage Agency) Tags:finland 14 comments Source: https://www.finna.fi/Search/Results?lookfor=%22Poutanen%2C+Jorma%2C+kuvaaja%22&type=Author Everything looks the same Not much has changed Its weird to see fuzzy childhood memories suddenly in sharp images. Damn, that 4th picture is from my neighbourhood. If you switch the baby carriages with more modern ones, that pic could pass for last summer. A Volvo 240 would not have crashed… They all looked fit. Funny, there’s another Finnish photographer named Jorma Pouta. I thought you had made a mistake but they are 2 different guys. Oh to have been a hiker in the eighties! So much less people. Dammm…. That dog is long dead I’ve seen those white laminate(?) kitchen cabinets with round wood handles in so many houses in Finland (pic 5). Like pretty much that exact kitchen. The fourth pic i actually lived right next to it and i go there nowadays around every week Does anyone else remember the garlic baguettes with sesame seeds they used to sell in city market?
