I got a bill to pay from the canton and paid it and now i got it again. Should i ignore it or pay it again? Do i have to pay the 5% also?

  1. Get confirmation of payment,send it to them or go to their office if you have time(or their office is not too far away). And ask them why did they send it

  2. What date did the payment go through and what is the date of this bill? You covered up the title but I can make out that this is a reminder for an outstanding bill.

  3. Usually reminders like this would say something like “wir haben Zahlungen bis zum Tag X berücksichtigt, sollte sich ihre Zahlung mit dieser Mahnung überschnitten haben, können Sie sie als hinfällig betrachten”. So “we have taken into accoung payments until Day X, if your payment happened after you can ignore this letter.”

    So see if you paid after their cut off date. If not, then contact them and ask if they received it.

  4. sorry but what kinda dumb question is that? you already paid but you are asking reddit if you should pay again? OMFG THIS WORLD IS DOOMED!

  5. I think you should contact them, even if you would go in he right. The swiss procedure for bad payers isnt nice and a huge hustle, even if you can succesfully contest.

  6. Usually there is something like “Wenn sich diese Rechnung mit dem Zahlungseingang gekreuzt hat …” and some instructions what to do written on it. Typically you can ignore the second bill but some ask you to contact them.
