I’m surprised he has not committed suicide in all honesty. As sad as it is, these lies can drive people to such extremes, even if they are proven false. The sad fact is that there will be always be such rumours following him around and he will never be free of what this woman caused him to go through. I hope he gets a lot of support and professional help so that he can live as normal life as possible.
I hope this is the death blow for MeToo. What was originally a force for good exposing demons like Weinstein, Epstein & Cosby, quickly turned into a complete witch hunt.
It’s far too easy for men like Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Henry Cavill and Jordan Trengove to have their lives utterly destroyed (or at the very least, have idiots in the media and social media stick their noses where they don’t belong), all off the back off “I said so”.
How the hell did people fool themselves into thinking that ‘Believe All Women’ was a good idea??
Police failed to follow all reasonable lines of enquiry as they so often do and should be held accountable too.
Those who are proven to have made false rape accusations should receive the same sentence as what would have been passed if the accusation was genuine and the alleged offender found guilty.
It’s weird how society just throws out the logical concept of presumption of innocence until proof of guilt when it comes to sex crimes
This sort of shit just makes me think of the film, ‘The Hunt’, and more specifically, how it ends.

Sickening people calling for the end of movements like MeToo, where women were finally able to talk honestly and openly about harassment they’d experienced in solidarity, because of a liar.
Fuck that, when a woman says she’s been assaulted, trust her and verify properly.
We should not go back to victim blaming and cults of silence around this shit.
I honestly don’t see why accused sex offenders are not given the same anonymity as their victims at least until proven guilty. a false accusation is almost impossible to shift once your face has been in the papers/on the news.
Something I’ve seen often from permanently shouting on social media types is that “false accusations don’t hurt anyone”. They then refer to Donald Trump and the fact he was president.
I don’t know why certain people are so eager to brush this type of thing and the devastating effects its has on people’s lives under the carpet. I remember another lady who did this not too long ago. She accused something like 10 different men, one of whom was a mechanic who helped her if I remember correctly. He ended up losing his business and his marriage
It’ll be most interesting to see what happens with her appeal. Only after her appeal is rejected can we be sure this will set a precedent for this kind of crime.
The original slogan of “Believe all woman”, I took to mean “listen to their story and don’t dismiss them before they’ve had a chance”, specifically referring to the police saying things like “well she was drunk” etc. it very quickly became believe them no matter the circumstances.
It also disappoints me that in the majority of threads I’ve seen about this case, the top comment has been some variation of “this harms real victims”. No, it harmed THIS victim. Specifically this victim.
It also frustrates me that the absolute vitriol with which we treat sex offenders, as if it’s our duty to punish them, as it’s also what led to this. I wouldn’t have a problem with believe all women if people didn’t take it into their own hands to just rip on people online, harass them and attack them.
The worst thing about this is that even though she’s been proven to have lied, some people will still think he’s guilty. Hushed whispers, silence when he goes down the pub..
I was wondering how on earth he got convicted because it’s nearly impossible to do in the uk without evidence. In my uni the police dismiss the cases even if there are multiple victims if there is no hard evidence.
But she actually destroyed her face with a hammer…THE LENGTHS. She needs to be locked up in a mental health institution there is definitely something mentally wrong there.
