  1. I know many people on this sub aren’t fond of Bacon and Cabbage, but for those who are, here’s the recipe.

    Ingredients

    For the Mash:

    Potatoes
    Butter
    Cream (optional)
    Garlic (optional)
    Salt and Pepper

    The meat:

    Bacon or Ham

    For the Cabbage:

    Cabbage
    Butter
    Salt and Pepper

    Recipe:

Cook the Bacon/Ham for 60 to 70 minutes by simmering it in water.

Peel and cut the potatoes, then cook in boiling water for 10-15 minutes, or until it’s fork tender.

When the potatoes are cooked, drain and then mash them (I use a potato ricer).

Next, melt butter, cream (optional) and add the garlic at this step if you want.

Cut up the cabbage and put it in a pan with butter a small bit of water to steam it. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Drain the cabbage and the Bacon/Ham and serve.

  2. I click every food post here expecting the comments to be nasty, but there were surprisingly wholesome. Fair play you bunch of miserable bastards

  3. That cabbage looks like it’s still got fiber and nutrients in it? Blasphemy I tells you. It needs to have been boiled to absolute death in bacon water until all semblance of goodness in any form is removed completely. It should taste of nothing but mushy saltyness.

(Joking/not joking. That looks yummy OP).
