Britain delays post-Brexit checks on goods from Ireland

  1. I’m surprised it was even a consideration to implement currently.

It makes a lot of sense to have limited restrictions between Ireland and UK. Not like there are going to be a flood of goods via Ireland to avoid some paperwork, if there were could be shutdown quickly. Implementation it only makes sense as a tit for tat measure.

  2. So from the 1st of Jan, EU products, excluding Irish goods, will now be held up by paperwork at customs?

This sounds like the EU is going to have some major issues selling to the Uk, judging by how it affected the UK selling into the EU.
