    >The 8-year-old daughter of a Vladimir Putin ally is listed as the owner of a multimillion-dollar apartment in London, documents seen by *Insider* show.

    >Vladimir Gruzdev made his name as a grocery-store tycoon before starting a career in politics, which won him special recognition by Putin in 2010.

    >Ukraine sanctioned Gruzdev after he shared a statement from the Association of Lawyers of Russia — whose board he chairs — supporting the war.

    >Company records show that the 8-year-old girl, whom *Insider* isn’t naming as she is a minor, was first declared to be the owner of the luxury property in February of last year, 20 days before Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

    >

    >The apartment was purchased for £2.3 million in 2000 through a company based in the Cayman Islands, where the tax rate is 0%.

    >That’s equivalent to £4 million now, or about $4.9 million at today’s conversion rate, when adjusted for inflation.

    >One property-valuation website suggests it could be worth over $10 million, but its actual value on the open market is unclear.

    >*The Times of London* first reported on the apartment in an investigation with Transparency International, an anti-corruption nonprofit that shared details of the property with *Insider*.

  2. Our light touch on things like this is what makes our property market so popular with foreign nationals. While you are supposed to declare the true owner of the property on a national register these days, there is no enforcement of this so it is effectively a goodwill gesture to do so. It makes getting away with stunts like this so easy and attractive.

  3. When are the accountants and solicitors who aid and abet Russia’s ruling elite going to be stripped of their professional status? If they sleep well at night, while Russia hacks at the Ukranian nation with brutal depravity, maybe they should be deprived of their freedom and safety! Money grubbing slugs of the lowest order who assist corrupt warmongerers!

  4. 1. Move in, squat
    2. Tik tok it as pro ukraine anti russian act
    3. Gain world support
    4. Charles 3 gives u the flat and a knighthood

  5. That’s super odd, because I’m sure the law of property act requires an individual to be 18 years old before they can acquire an interest in property.

Ho hum, just the usual bent conveyancer situation.

  6. Saddam Hussain’s biggest mistake was not investing in the London property market or being effective in greasing the palms of the UK establishment. Why else is he dead and Putin still doing his thing?

  7. This is just the tip of the iceberg. The Chinese have been doing this for decades and are only increasing.

HSBC are outsourcing much of their IT staff to China now as well. If they invade Taiwan like predictions show, there’s going to be another shit show just like the one with Russia, just bigger.

  8. Something British people including me at some people dont understand is the average bloke wont/cant do anything about this and other things, unless a huge group of people start going against it which causes party members to doubt the choices and wrongdoings.

Look at ulez, highly illegal, out of jurisdiction but nobody is doing anything apart from the absolute gods cutting the camera wires, party members are going against ulez and it doesnt change.

    Welcome to life.

Vladimir Gruzdev is a Vladimir Putin ally whose net worth was estimated to be $900 million in 2021.

Company records show that the 8-year-old girl, whom Insider isn’t naming as she is a minor, was first declared to be the owner of the luxury property in February of last year, 20 days before Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine sanctioned Gruzdev after he shared a statement from the Association of Lawyers of Russia — whose board he chairs — supporting the war.

He isn’t sanctioned by any other countries.

A 2021 report by Knight Frank found that London was home to more than 874,000 millionaires, the most high-net-worth individuals of any city in its review.

  10. Londongrad.

I honestly believe Johnson could have saved his ass I’d he had let bill browder come in and do everything he wants to do.

And I fucking hate that fat pos.

  11. I wonder if ai could be used to study the relationship between transference of valuable assets from Russians close to Putin and imminent foreign policy actions by the Russian regime. I bet every time Russia sets up to do an action likely to result in sanctions these oligarchs get a heads up and ‘design’s their assets accordingly.

  12. Musicians have been doing this for years, putting their 6 year old kids as writers on their albums so they get royalty checks forever, hardly anything new.

  13. The tories do love a bit of dirty Russian money don’t they. The entire capital is awash with the worst kind of real life bond villains.

  14. The UK property market has been over heated by foreign investment and the various UK governments did nothing about it.
It wasn’t anything to do with ‘the Boomers’.

  15. Meanwhile my solicitor busted my balls and asked me for ALL my historical inflows from my past employers to explain how I accumulated enough money to buy my flat. FFS
