Supermarket petrol station merger could increase prices for motorists and shoppers

  1. Those poor Issa brothers have got to scalp some way or another. How else are they going to pay down their vampiric debt-fuelled Asda takeover?

  2. Honestly co-op fuel and store prices are some of the worst around here right now. Asda ain’t going to be much of an increase of any.

Saying that, the coop station near me which is on the list has only been open 6 months… Talk about a waste of money.

  3. When they (eurogarages) took over Asda, it killed any competitiveness in fuel. It seems Asda we’re the only ones to drive it down. Now Asda are higher than some of the big oil stations round here, tesco et al just seem to be happy to keep the prices high.

Eurogarages should never have been able to buy out Asda.
