Pretty interesting. Although happiness is a personal thing. Not a competition.
This guy writing a piece on how much Finland sucks and how depressing it is lives in DETROIT fucking lmao. Can’t make this shit up.
What a fucking clown and what a fucking travesty of an article.
So grim that happiness is subjective and Nordic countries have different expectations! D:
“Grim” is a bit of a clickbait but the article itself is pretty good
Happiest people are North Koreans, but nobody ask them for ratings.
Writing is based towards extrovert is better -ideas. It is ok to be introvert and shy and polite. It is not a disease or a fault. I have heard that those are actually *problems to be solved* for example in US daycares, so the writing is not a surprise. For example, a very large share of performing artists are or have been very shy.
Introverts can enjoy their own company more than extroverts. Neither is more happy necessarily, they just appear very different for an outsider.
I’ve travelled widely and chose to become a Finn. I’ve partied in Prague, lingered in London and marinated in Madrid. The finest sight in all these places is the white and blue aircraft at the airport with the Finnish cross on its tail, which will bring me home to Finland.
Poor wording on title. It’s not grim, just mundane.
Glass is neither half full, nor half empty. It is not the right size glass.
Not mine. Attributed to Alan Turing.
I agree and this is very well written. Finland is very much.
“Lagom”
not too much, not too little, the right amount
Optimism, self loathing, confidence are all side quests in Finland.
